What is Reiki?
Bliss!
Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reducing stress and thus enhances the body’s natural healing ability.
The word Reiki itself means Universal Energy. Energy flows through the universe and all living things and is vital to wellbeing. For Example, it is such energy that controls our nervous system and blood circulation, such energy that allows us to breathe, walk and talk and such energy that allows a cut to heal itself. We don’t consciously control these parts of our body, we don’t think about how they happen, we just accept they do. We can give this miracle a name, body consciousness, your body is fully aware of keeping you alive and functioning in ways that you have no idea of.
Reiki is the process therefore of using this universal energy to restore health and balance to mind, body and spirit, working with both your body consciousness as well as your subconscious.
My Therapy Approach
Whether you choose to engage in reiki sessions or reiki courses, I aim to help you to live life to the full, in a manner so as not to deplete your energy levels and to promote and maintain your body and minds natural healing ability. I aim to teach you how to: ‘listen’ to yourself; discover the source of your difficulties; be kind and compassionate to yourself enabling calmness and self-healing.
I work intuitively during a reiki treatment, sensing the areas of the body, mind and spirit that are in need of attention. I focus my intention on these areas, giving space for universal energy and your body consciousness to begin to restore balance and harmony. Read more
